Wine Tour

Ten students from LSI Downtown spent the President’s Day holiday in the Santa Ynez Valley region of Santa Barbara enjoying wine tasting and a picnic lunch at Koehler Winery and Vineyards, exploring a little bit of Solvang, and trying to win some extra cash at Chumash Casino. Despite the heavier-than-usual traffic, the students were in good spirits trying the 11 different kinds of wine (5 with lunch) at the winery and taking lots of pictures to send home to family and friends. In Solvang, we visited some quaint, European-style shops, and got some coffee. At the casino, the first-time visitors were rewarded with $25 free play, and some even won a few extra bucks to take home. There was a February chill in the air, but everyone was happy to be out of the city in one of the most beautiful areas of California!
